MCC’s 2018 commencement ceremony in quotes and pictures

Metropolitan Community College’s Class of 2018 got a big sendoff complete with wise words and warm wishes May 17 at Municipal Auditorium. The 910 participating graduates heard their names announced as they walked across the commencement stage. All told, about 2,600 students applied for graduation in 2017-18.

2,500+ are candidates for graduation; #MCCGrads2018 ceremony May 17

Metropolitan Community College’s 2018 commencement exercises will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 17, at Municipal Auditorium downtown (301 W. 13th St., Kansas City, MO 64105). More than 900 students are expected to “walk,” and with family and friends on hand, total attendance should exceed 4,000.

This year, more than 2,500 MCC students applied to graduate, a number that includes Fall 2017 grads.
